About Houseboat Hercules Seghers

Picturesque, stylish, quiet and central.

A very special place to stay.

The old sailing boat "Hercules Seghers" is moored on the corner of two canals: the picturesque and much photographed Raamgracht and Groenburgwal, in the very heart of the city, yet very quiet.

Dam Square and Central Station are minutes away and everything in the city is within walking distance. A metro station within two minutes from the boat for easy transfers to and from Schiphol Airport, via Central Station.

The historic boat has been converted into a luxury boutique houseboat with all comforts of a regular home: central heating, a stylish and complete kitchen plus a modern bathroom with shower and a separate toilet.

The former wheelhouse is converted into a lounge area with a stunning view on the Groenburgwal and from the deck a spectacular view on the Zuidertoren.

The minimum stay on board is 3 nights. Price per night is € 295.

A very special place for your honeymoon in Amsterdam.

In addition to your stay in the houseboat we have Amsterdam bikes for rent.

About the Houseboat Hercules Seghers history

Hercules Seghers is an old sailing ship. She was never motorized. Moving only with her sails.

The former cargo compartment is now in use as an apartment for her guests.

Hercules Seghers is in 2014 fully renovated and since 2015 available for your stay.
